Death Note (9-Disc TV Series) (2006)

The human whose name is written in this note shall die.

In this horror/fantasy anime tv series a notebook belonging to a "god of death" finds its way into the human world and is picked up by a human. This sets up the moral dilemma resulting from a human who has the power to choose who will die and who will live.

What would happen if an adolescent teen were to have the power of judgment over humanity deciding who was good and who was bad then passing sentence on those who he deemed were bad? To make a perfect world he must alter the behavior of an entire society through oppressive fear and retribution on those who make a mistake in the eyes of the one or ones who hold power.

This seems a little Marxist. Where then would the true evil lie? The masses may be on the side of the righteous judge until judgment is passed on them.

(you get my drift)
