The Princess Bride is a fairy tale of romance, humor, revenge and adventure. Staring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Andre the Giant, Peter Falk, Fred Savage, Billy Crystal, Carol Kane, Mel Smith, Peter Cook, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn. Grandpa comes to visit his sick grandson who is tucked up in bed with tv and video games, his grandfather pulls out a book. Of course the youngster is a little bored but is willing to hear the story his grandfather is about to read. The story begins with beautiful Buttercup (Robin Wright) and the hansom farmhand Westly (Cary Elwes), and how their love turns tragic for Westly heads out to find his fortune when word of his capture of the Dread Pirate Roberts, who keeps no prisoners alive. Driven to despair the beautiful Buttercup agrees to become the Princess Bride to Prince Humperdinck. The story is being interrupted by the sick boy which brings the viewer back to reality. The grandpa continues to read how the young buttercup ends up being kidnapped by three rogues and how she is rescued by her true love. Hilarious conversations with adventure and silliness all wrapped up in one. This movie has been quoted by your children and your grandparents. The Princess Bride is the kind of movie you either love or hate.
