Vanity Fair 2008
Silly Vanity Fair Movie; couldn't keep myself from laughing! It is nothing like what William Thackaray had in mind! They made Becky Sharp out to be somebody that everyone wants as a friend!
Yeah right! Becky Sharp as a friend?
She'll use you and lose you! Oh no, not in this film. Its not wrong to dance with your best friends husband and smile and flirt and act as if its not wrong! She was the real heroine.
She is someone to look up to. Every young girls hero. As if there was no social order back in the Victorian era and anyone who believed in it was "bad".
Oh no Becky is the modern girl utopia! What All young british girls need to be like! She is our hero!
"how could you say such a thing? Me steal your husbands love?" Becky earns her living from painting! And her husband sits at home and does nothing while she toils and slaves for her family.
She displays her nobility and wisdom to anyone who will just understand! And the final straw was Becky and her Indian dance in front of the king!
What nonsense! (should I say it again? silly vanity fair movie)
I couldn't wait for it to be over. Why do the writers and directors insist on making this story politically correct? Never being able to find the good and bad character in this film.
Clearly it was the men? Evil or good never existed. Not wanting to find the real Becky Sharp at fault? Because the real Becky's ways are too much liker theirs? What was the point of the story?
One last time, what a silly vanity fair movie version it was...
