Preston was a builder, inventor, and entrepreneur who brought us one of history's amazing inventions: The Tucker car.
Director Francis Ford Coppola brilliantly brings this American story to the big screen.
Taking place in the late 1940's, Preston creates a car that had never been made before, an amazing automobile that included seat belts and shatterproof glass with a pop out windshield!
A center headlight that moved when the car turned, a rear engine, and disk brakes. This car not only was a family-safe car but it was also a classic.
This movie shows how Preston and his family worked to get the business and the car up and going.
His home was a true conservative home with a mind for business and courage to make little into something.
His wife (Joan Allen) plays a beautiful wife supporting her husband and raising their kids.
After getting the car made and in motion for mass production, Preston is questioned and investigated for fraudulent claims.
This movie is a useful educational film that teaches family values and principles of what a true American spirit is like.
